PARAPHRASE OF THE 1ST OF THE TEN
COMMANDMENTS
“THOU SHALT NOT HAVE OTHER
gods BEFORE ME!”
The fool said, there is
no god, there works are evil and they cannot discern between righteousness and
ungodly.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF
GOD?
When Moses asked God,
if they will ask me, who sent me to them, what will I say?
God said, “My Name is I
am that I am!” He did not say that His
Names are: Lord, which means Jehovah, or
Yahweh, nor Yeshua, but I am that I am!
WHO CLAIMS THE GREAT I
AM?
Jesus claims, before
Abraham, I AM! This why the unbelievers
wants to stone Him, because of His revelation Who He was, Who He is and Who He
is to come. Re: John 8:58
WHO IS GOD? AND WHO IS JESUS?
God is Omnipotent, (All
Powerful), Omnipresent, (everywhere at all times), and Omniscient, (all wise
and knowing).
Whilst, Jesus is, and I
quote in the Bible Isaiah 9:6,7:
“…And He will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of
Peace…He will rule from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish
this.”
But He’s not the
Father, because He mentioned many times His Father in heaven! Re: John Chapter 14 to 17. He’s a Father when He said AFTER
RESURRECTION, to His disciples and apostles, My children, have you caught
fish? Re: John 21:5
He had done what the
Father God in heaven wants Him to do.
This is why, He is the mediator between God and Me. He also said, I am the way, the truth and the
life, no man comes to the Father, except through Me. Re: John 14:6.
And He also said…apart from Me, you can do nothing. Re:
John 15:5.
WHO WILL JUDGE THEN?
Jesus said, “All
authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. … And teaching them to
obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew
28:18,19
WHO IS THE CREATOR?
Jesus is the image of
the invisible God, the First born of every creature.
For by Him were all
things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible
(can be seen and cannot be seen), whether they be throne or dominion, or
principalities, or powers: all things
were created by Him, and for Him. Re: Colossians 1:16
“You are worthy O Lord,
to receive glory, honour, and power: for you had created all things, and for
Your pleasure, they are and were created. Re: Revelation 4:11
WHO IS JESUS THEN?
Re: II Corinthians 13:1…In
the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
Re: John 1:1, 14. He is God…And the Word was God. …And the Word was made flesh, and dwells
among us…
THE WITNESS, WHO LIVES,
WALKS AND TALKS WITH JESUS – THE APOSTLES AND DISCIPLES
Peter said, He is the
Christ, the Son of the Living God. Re: Matthew 16:16
And also Simon Peter
said in II Peter 1:1 … through the righteous of God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ.
Paul calls Jesus
Lord. Re: Acts 9:4,5
He also calls Him
God. Re: I Timothy 1:1 … by the
commandment of God and our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ which is our hope.
Titus calls Jesus
God. Looking for the blessed hope, and
the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ… Re: Titus 2:13 and last but not the least,
John the beloved calls
Jesus God…that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true,
even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is
the true God and Eternal Life.
And the Centurion, the
Roman Soldier, who witness the death of Jesus on the cross said, “… truly this
Man was the Son of God!” Re: Mark 15:39.
CONCLUSION
The above was already
explained Who Jesus was, who He is, and Who is to come. No one now can deny the Deity of Christ (Re:
Book of John, and The Book of Revelation, all in the Bible).
SUMMARY
The purpose of writing
in paraphrase forms one of the Ten Commandments of God, is for you to
understand and believe that God loves you and He gave Himself for you, so that
your sins might be forgiven and by through His Son Jesus Christ, Who gave us
eternal life, will one day see you face to face in heaven.
Please pray this
prayer, and accept Him as your Lord God and Saviour now:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I
know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from
the dead. I turn from my sins and invite
You to come into my heart and life. I
want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour. In Your Name, amen.
